Fourth Year

The course offers an introduction to the Modern Poetry from the beginning of the late 19^th century to the twentieth century. It provides the students with an account of the history, its features, and various poets. It also provides the students with the knowledge of the social and cultural aspect of the age. First, the students will be given an account of cultural and literary background of the period in general for a better understanding and in detail within the genre of poetry. Then, the major poets and their works will be discussed in detail.
